The Piquentum Phenomenon
The packaging won the prestigious Red Dot Design Award and the London International Awards in 2014. The design was credited to Studio Sonda, with the innovative use of newspapers making up a significant part of the packaging, along with the label printed by Etikgraf.
Following that success, the packaging for Piquentum St. Vital has already won 11 domestic and international design awards (One Show Merit Award, IIID International Institute for Information Design in Vienna, Ideja X, Fedrigoni Top Award, Golden Drum, Pentawards, HDD, Red Dot, and Communication Arts) and gained significant media coverage.
Studio Sonda, once again responsible for the label design, on this special label depicts the amount of rainfall in the Piquentum vineyard area from year to year. The circles, standard meteorological symbols for rain, represent the rainfall in each month. Such a label required innovative technical development, and we were awarded the gold medal at the Fedrigoni Top Award 2017 for its execution.
As a logical continuation, we collaborated on the collection of Piquentum St. Vital 12/13/14 which was selected as winner of the prestigious Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2017 among 80,000 entries from 50 countries.
